Vascular surgery procedures (laser vein ablation, EVLA)

Endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) is a minimally invasive method of treating varicose veins: through a small puncture, under ultrasound guidance, a laser catheter is inserted into the affected vein. The laser energy heats and seals the vein from within; over time the body absorbs the treated vein, with no visible marks on the skin.

After the procedure a compression bandage is required — for proper healing and treatment effectiveness.

Indications include various stages of varicose disease, veins of small and large calibre, burning sensations, pulling pain or heaviness in the legs.

The procedure is done in a sterile operating room by a vascular surgeon, on the German-made Leonardo® laser system (Biolitec), and takes about 20–40 minutes; no incisions, general anaesthesia or hospital stay are needed.

Every medical procedure carries risks and possible side effects. The clinic doctor will explain them before treatment.

We are not a clinic and do not provide medical services.
