Cookies and browser storage

This page sets out what the site stores in your browser and what it sends to our server.
In short: without your consent the site stores only what it needs to work and counts visits anonymously — with no cookies and no identifier. A cookie with a random visitor number appears only with your consent.
This page describes the actual state of the code, not a generic template.
Visit counting without consent
To see which pages and topics visitors find interesting, the site records simple actions on our server: opening a page, opening the chat or the enquiry form, sending the form, going to WhatsApp and the choice made in the cookie banner.
Each such record holds only the type of action, the page, the language, the kind of source — Google, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, direct visit or other — and the page you entered the site on. The record contains no IP address, no identifier and no cookie. The full address you came from is not sent.
To connect your entry to what happens next, the tab’s sessionStorage keeps two words: the kind of source and the entry page (key geo-src). They are erased when you close the tab.
This counting works whatever you choose in the banner, including “Necessary only”.
What turns on only with consent
After “Accept all”, a visit counter loads from our subdomain admin.geomedical.co.il. It stores a cookie named gm_vid with a random visitor number for 13 months, and a visit number in sessionStorage (gm_sid), to tell a returning visit from a new one.
The counter sends our server the page address, the address you came from, campaign tags (utm), the language and actions on the page — scrolling, opening the chat, tapping WhatsApp and sending a form. No IP address is kept in these records, and the data is not passed to anyone else.
With “Necessary only” the counter does not load, and if the gm_vid cookie already exists, the site deletes it.
You can change your choice at any time.

localStorage persists until you clear the site data in your browser. sessionStorage disappears on its own when the tab is closed. Your browser sends the gm_vid cookie only to our own domains, geomedical.co.il.
Two more values exist only on GEO Medical staff devices: the geo-owner mark in localStorage and the gm_notrack cookie. They keep our own checks out of the count.
Older keys that delete themselves
Before the two parts of the site were unified, some settings were stored under different names. On the first visit after the update the values are moved to the new names and the old keys are deleted. The site no longer writes to them.
The site no longer writes or reads the keys geo-leadQueue, geo-a11y-lang and geo-weather-tbilisi. If they are left over from earlier versions, they are removed together with the site data.

What the site does not do
There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels and no ad networks.
There are no third-party loads: fonts, code and images are served only from geomedical.co.il and our subdomain admin.geomedical.co.il. Your browser does not contact Google’s servers or any other provider’s.
Counting and counter data are not passed to anyone else.
How to delete
Clearing the site data in your browser settings removes all of these values. They can also be removed one by one in the browser developer tools, under the Application tab.
Deleting resets the language, theme, accessibility settings and banner choice — the site will open as if this were your first visit and will ask about cookies again.
