Questions and answers
The things people ask most often: how the support works, what it costs, how long the trip takes and what happens after you return home.
Before the trip
I live in Tbilisi permanently, with my family. I do not fly in with the patient — I am already here.
I am not a doctor. My job is to organise the process, translate the conversation with the doctor into Hebrew and be there when help is needed: before the trip, at the clinic and after you return home.
Every clinic I recommend, one of us has been through personally: my wife, our children or I. We first came as ordinary patients; the cooperation came later.
I do not send anyone somewhere I have not been myself.
It depends on the field.
For plastic surgery, hair transplantation and cosmetology, photographs of the area and a short description are enough — no tests are needed before the flight, they are done at the clinic.
From these materials you receive a treatment plan and a cost before buying tickets. Diagnostics before the flight are needed for dentistry only.
Usually within 48 hours, in some cases up to 72 — if the doctor needs additional materials or a second specialist’s opinion.
You receive an opinion, a treatment plan, approximate timing and the cost.
Yes, before you buy tickets.
I join the conversation and translate into Hebrew. You speak directly with the doctor who will treat you, not only with a coordinator.
If the doctor says the procedure is not needed or is premature, the trip is not arranged.
No. Israeli citizens enter without a visa; a valid passport is required. According to the official information of the Georgian embassy in Israel, Israeli citizens may stay in the country without a visa for up to a year.
Before the trip it is worth checking the current entry conditions again.
A direct flight takes about 2 hours 40 minutes.
There is no mandatory requirement, but I advise taking it out. That is everyone’s own decision.
It is important to understand: travel insurance covers an accident or a sudden illness during the trip. Planned treatment — implantation, plastic surgery, cosmetic procedures — is never covered by it.
Israeli health insurance does not apply to treatment in Georgia.
In some policies, a trip whose purpose is treatment abroad is listed explicitly as an exclusion. So read the policy terms and obtain a written answer from the insurer before the trip.
Georgian, Russian and English. In the city, in shops and in taxis, communication is usually not a problem.
At the clinic I will translate — the doctors speak English and do not know Hebrew.
The trip
How many days are needed is decided by the doctor for your case. Usually from 5 to 12 days — it depends on the field and on the treatment plan.
You receive the exact dates together with the treatment plan, before buying tickets.
Included: preparing the materials for the doctor, arranging the preliminary talk with the doctor, translation at every appointment, meeting you at the airport and the transfer back, help choosing a district to stay in, contact with the clinic after you return.
Not included: flights and accommodation — you book those yourself. I will suggest a convenient district and help you work out the dates.
You do not have to stay next to the clinic; what matters is allowing for the journey to your appointment time.
You can, and for surgical operations I recommend it.
In the first days after an operation, a little everyday help is needed — to walk somewhere, to fetch something, to be nearby. Someone who came with you will do that better than anyone else.
The dates are always agreed with the doctor.
It is usually more convenient to arrive the day before the first appointment, so you can rest after the journey. You can fly out in the afternoon after the final check-up.
You receive the exact dates together with the treatment plan, before buying tickets.
The price depends on the dates, the district, the level of the hotel and the type of apartment.
Tbilisi has everything from simple apartments to expensive hotels. Rather than quoting a price that may change, it is better to look at options for the exact dates of your treatment. I will help you choose a convenient district and find several options within your budget.
Food and groceries in Georgia are noticeably cheaper than in Israel — that is a tangible part of the saving on the trip.
Yes, and many people do.
If there is free time between appointments and the doctor has no objection to the activity, I will suggest where to go and what to see. Georgia is small, and a lot fits into one day.
At the clinic
The doctors speak English; they do not know Hebrew.
I attend the consultations and translate the conversation right there in the room. For procedures where a woman is more comfortable with a woman present, my wife is with the patient.
If you would like to speak with the doctor alone, say so and I will step out.
Usually two.
On the first trip the implants are placed and, if needed, temporary structures. Then time is needed for the implants to integrate — in many cases between 2 and 6 months. The exact period is determined by the doctor: it depends on the condition of the bone, the type of treatment and how quickly you heal.
The second visit is for the permanent crowns. There is no need to stay in Tbilisi between the stages; you fly home after the first one.
There is no need to bring special medical equipment unless the doctor asked for it in advance.
If you take regular medication, bring enough for the whole trip and a little more, in case of a delayed flight.
Keep the medication in its original packaging and bring a prescription or a medical document showing the name of the drug and the dosage.
Medication related to the treatment itself is provided by the clinic or prescribed for a local pharmacy.
Money and documents
For the patient — nothing.
My work is paid for by the clinic. You pay only for the treatment, and you pay the clinic directly, according to its price list for foreign patients — the same one shown on this site.
Directly to the clinic: in cash, by card or by bank transfer, according to its terms. Payment is accepted in dollars or in lari, at the rate on the day of settlement.
With a bank transfer it is better to send the money at least 24 hours before the procedure: an international payment takes one to two business days, and the clinic begins treatment once the funds arrive.
To confirm the booking a deposit of 200 dollars is paid. It is non-refundable, because the clinic reserves the specialist’s time and the operating theatre.
The clinic’s medical records: which procedures were carried out, which materials were used, which implants or structures were placed, the doctor’s prescriptions and the recommendations for follow-up.
With these documents you can continue follow-up with your own doctor in Israel.
If you need a particular document for an insurance company, first check with the insurer exactly what it requires. I will then pass that requirement to the clinic before you return to Israel.
The warranty is provided by the clinic — it delivers the medical service and carries responsibility for it.
The terms are set out in your treatment plan, and you see them before you pay anything. It is worth establishing in advance which cases are covered, how long the warranty runs and which costs the clinic takes on.
Whether the clinic covers a flight or accommodation for repeat treatment depends on its written terms. Do not rely on verbal promises.

We stay in touch on WhatsApp or Telegram.
If questions come up about healing, if a photograph needs to reach the doctor, if you need an additional document or want a recommendation clarified — you write to me, I contact the clinic and come back with an answer in Hebrew.
