Micro-incision vein removal

Minimally invasive vein removal surgery (miniphlebectomy)

Varicose veins — dilated, bulging, winding vessels, usually on the legs — can cause pain, itching, heaviness and swelling, and beyond that they are an aesthetic concern.

Miniphlebectomy is a minimally invasive procedure for removing them: it requires no large incisions, no general anaesthesia and no hospital stay, and is performed in an operating room by a vascular surgeon. It takes about 20–40 minutes.

Depending on the case it can be combined with injection sclerotherapy or laser vein ablation.

Every medical procedure carries risks and possible side effects. The clinic doctor will explain them before treatment.
